JGeek and The Geeks are an independent New Zealand Metro-Maori electro craze group led by former C4 presenter and Cleo Bachelor of the Year finalist, Jermaine Leef or now known as JGeek. JGeek is banging out fresh new tunes and dance moves like nothing seen before.

Maori Boy debuted on the RIANZ charts at number 38 where it stayed for 3 weeks. It then rose 5 spots to number 33.
The music video for "Maori Boy" was put on to Youtube 5 days prior to its official release on Select Live. It received 50,000 views in that time and Soulja Boy made a tweet about the video. Maori Boy has ‘trended’ on the YouTube homepage with the likes of Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber.The Single has also been mentioned on TVNZ Breakfast, By reaching 100,000 hits on YouTube in 10 days and saying JGeek and The Geeks are the only NZ Music Artist in History that has done so.
JGeek and The Geeks have been making themselves known since launching their unique brand in 2010.
The group, who collectively identify themselves as having a "Metro-Maori electro craze" genre, released their first hit video Maori Boy and received more than 100,000 views within the first 10 days on YouTube.
The video also received international attention with American rapper Souljah Boy commenting about them on his Twitter page. And Already they've performed for celebrity blogger Perez Hilton.
Known for their crazy fashion sense, the group have a lot going for them with a TV show in the pipeline as well as appearances at corporate events, a summer tour, plans to introduce a clothing/accessories range and a part to play in entertainment for the Rugby World Cup in Auckland.
On top of his geek commitments, Bishop is working with the Auckland Symphony Orchestra's musical director and is set to sign with an American producer who works with international musicians such as Rihanna.
JGeek and the Geeks have also been asked to perform at New Zealand Fashion Week.
The Cuzzies is a Metro-Maori electro craze group formed in 2011 and consists by the same current members from JGeek and The Geeks. They are best known for their 2011 single, "Ghost Chips".

Ghost Chips is a music video that parodies the new anti-drink driving ad that come out on TV, named Legend. "Ghost Chips" had hit the NZ singles charts at number 11 in November. It cracked over 100,000 views in 4 days on Youtube. It also features former What Now presenter Tumehe Rongonui.
